Fix sideways or upside-down pages and save the rotation permanently — entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded.
No Upload, Ever
Pages are rotated locally in your browser — files never touch a server.
Per-Page Control
Rotate any single page on its own thumbnail, in 90° steps.
Batch & Odd/Even
Rotate the whole document, or just the odd or even pages, in one click.
Saved Permanently
The rotation is written into the PDF, so it stays fixed everywhere.
Rotate PDF in one sentence. Drop a PDF into the tool above, rotate single pages with the thumbnail buttons or the whole document with the toolbar, then download a PDF with the rotation baked in. Everything runs in your browser — files never leave your device. Free, no sign-up, files up to 100 MB.
What does it mean to rotate a PDF?
Rotating a PDF changes the orientation of one or more pages by 90°, 180°, or 270°. It fixes pages that were scanned sideways or upside down, or photos that came in with the wrong orientation. The page content isn't redrawn — the PDF simply records a rotation flag that every reader respects.
The important part is saving it permanently. Many PDF readers let you rotate the view on screen, but that change is lost the moment you close the file. This tool writes the rotation directly into the document, so the pages stay upright in every viewer, on every device, forever.
Why "no upload" actually matters
Almost every other online rotate-PDF tool uploads your file to a server, rotates it in the cloud, and promises to delete it later. For a flyer that's fine. For a signed contract, an ID scan, or a financial statement, you're handing private data to someone else's server.
This tool works differently. The rotation happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript, so your PDF stays on your device from start to finish. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and the file is released from memory the moment you close the tab. It even keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
How to rotate a PDF in 4 steps
- 1
Upload your PDF
Drag the file onto the box above or click to browse. The tool accepts a single PDF up to 100 MB, and nothing is uploaded — the file is read locally.
- 2
Rotate pages
Use the ↺ and ↻ buttons on any thumbnail to turn a single page, or the toolbar to rotate all pages, just the odd pages, or just the even pages.
- 3
Check the preview
Each thumbnail updates instantly and shows its current angle, so you can confirm every page is upright before saving.
- 4
Download the rotated PDF
Click Download rotated PDF. The rotation is written into a new file — your original stays untouched on your device.
Rotation controls at a glance
The tool gives you both whole-document and per-page control. Here's what each control does.
| Control | Where | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Rotate all right | Toolbar | Turns every page 90° clockwise; click again for 180°. |
| Rotate all left | Toolbar | Turns every page 90° counter-clockwise. |
| Odd pages | Toolbar | Rotates pages 1, 3, 5… — handy for double-sided scans. |
| Even pages | Toolbar | Rotates pages 2, 4, 6… on their own. |
| Per-page ↺ / ↻ | On each thumbnail | Rotates a single page in 90° steps, independently. |
Per-page and toolbar actions stack, so you can rotate everything once and then fine-tune individual pages.
Common rotation scenarios cheat sheet
Six situations cover most rotation jobs. The table below shows the fastest way to fix each.
| Scenario | What to do | Result |
|---|---|---|
| The whole document is upside down | Rotate all right ×2 (180°) | Every page flipped upright. |
| One landscape page among portrait pages | Per-page ↻ on that page | Only that page is rotated. |
| Double-sided scan, every other page sideways | Odd pages or Even pages | Alternating pages fixed in one click. |
| Phone photos imported sideways | Rotate all right or all left | All pages share one orientation. |
| A page turned the wrong way after editing | Per-page ↺ to undo | That page rotated back. |
| Mixed batch needing different fixes | Toolbar first, then per-page tweaks | Each page set exactly right. |
If your case isn't listed, start with a whole-document rotation to get most pages right, then fix the rest with the per-page buttons.
Common rotate PDF problems and how to fix them
The rotation disappears when I reopen the file
That happens when you rotate the view inside a PDF reader instead of saving it. This tool writes the rotation into the file itself, so download the rotated PDF here and the orientation will stick in every viewer.
Only one page is sideways, not the whole document
Use the ↺ or ↻ button on that single page's thumbnail rather than the toolbar. Per-page rotation leaves every other page untouched.
Every other page is upside down on a double-sided scan
Scanners often flip the back of each sheet. Use the Odd pages or Even pages button to rotate just the affected set in one click, instead of fixing each page by hand.
I rotated too far and overshot
Each click is 90°, and four clicks bring a page back to where it started. Use the opposite per-page arrow to step back, or hit Reset to clear all rotations and start over. Your original file is never modified.
5 pro tips for rotating PDFs
Rotate all, then fine-tune
If most pages share the same problem, fix them all with the toolbar first, then correct the odd page out with its own buttons.
Odd/even for duplex scans
Double-sided scans usually need only the back pages turned. Odd or Even pages does that in a single click.
Two clicks for 180°
There's no separate flip button — just rotate the same direction twice to turn a page a full 180°.
Confirm with the angle badge
Each rotated thumbnail shows its angle (90°, 180°, 270°). Glance at the badges before downloading to be sure every page is right.
Your original is safe
The tool writes a new rotated copy and never changes your source file, so feel free to experiment and Reset as often as you like.

Frequently asked questions
Common questions about rotating PDF files
Can I rotate just one page without affecting the others?
Yes — use the ↺ / ↻ buttons on that page's thumbnail. Per-page rotation only touches the page you click. Every other page keeps its current orientation.
Do you upload my PDF to a server?
No — this tool never uploads anything. The rotation runs entirely in your browser, so the PDF stays on your device and is released from memory when you close the tab.
Does the rotation save permanently?
Yes — it's written into the downloaded PDF. Unlike rotating the view in a reader, the orientation is baked into the file and stays fixed in every viewer and on every device.
Can I undo a rotation after applying it?
Yes — rotate back, or hit Reset before downloading. Each click is 90°. Use the opposite arrow to step back, or Reset to clear everything. Your original file is never modified either way.
Will rotating also turn the images and text on the page?
Yes — the whole page rotates as one. All content on the page — text, images, and graphics — turns together, exactly as the page would if you physically turned the paper.
Is it free and do I need an account?
It's free with no account and no sign-up. There's no watermark, no daily cap, and no per-file limit beyond the 100 MB upload size.
How do I rotate a page back to where it was?
Click the opposite arrow until it's upright, or Reset. Four clicks in one direction also return a page to its original orientation.
What's the maximum file size?
100 MB per PDF. For larger files, split the PDF first, rotate each part, then merge them back together — all in your browser.
